Responsible for keeping records for the Anoka Police Department.  Our 4  full-time technicians  are generally very busy  keeping up with the roughly 25,000 reported calls for service our agency receives.


Records Request 

Please fill out the form and submit it via the link and we will contact them to pick it up when the reports are ready. Please fill out the form here or online below. Please only fill out one form per request. Submitting multiple forms for one request will slow down the response time. 

There is a fee involved so they have to pick it up on person, we do not email reports. All requests will be filled within 10 business days.

Request a Copy of a Police Report

  1. Request Police Data

    Do you need to request a copy of a previously filed police report? Fill out the online form. Report requests will be addressed in the order received. Typical response is up to 10 business days for involved requests.

  2. The MGDPA provides that the City must maintain all Government Data in a manner that makes it easy for public inspection and access. To inspect data or request copies of data that the City maintains, a written request must be submitted in a form as required by the City.

    If the information you are requesting is about you personally, then you are the “subject of the data”. 

  5. Requesting parties are not required to provide the above contact information. Requests cannot be accommodated if there is no contact if there is no contact information provided. Staff will begin gathering data upon submission of this form. Pursuant to M.S. § 13.04 if the requestor is the subject of the data, the City must respond within 10 business days of the request, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and City holidays. If the requestor is not the subject of the data, the City must respond in an appropriate and prompt manner, which is within a reasonable amount of time depending on the nature and extent of the request. The city will communicate with the requestor regarding the nature of the request and what an appropriate response time may be.

  7. Fee
    There is a .25 per page fee. You must pick up reports at Anoka Police and pay the fee, once you have received notification your request has been completed.
