Redesign and construction of the Champlin Substation is finally complete!
This project included updated relaying protection, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) infrastructure, new fence design, and new aggregate. This design will greatly improve safety and reliability of the substation. We are happy to announce the substation was energized Friday May 8th, 2020!
Also, we are continuing to work on our South and 6th Street Infrastructure Renewal Project with conversions to underground utilities. Crews are also working over by Anoka Technical College, on the West end of our system, for preparations on the Hwy 10 Project coming up in 2021.
